Welcome!

Welcome to Louisiana State University for our summer 2006 LIGO Scientific Collaboration meeting!

The main sessions of August 14–17 will be held in meeting rooms at the Cook Conference Center & Hotel, adjacent to University Lake. The face-to-face meetings will be at the LSU Physics Department in Nicholson Hall, a 15 minute walk across campus.

There is also a Science monitor camp, to be held at LIGO Livingston on August 18th.

Travel advisory

Please note that  as of August 10, there are new procedures in place at US airports. There is a possibly helpful FAQ, here.

What to do first?

Please use the Registration link at left to register as soon as possible.  This way, we will know how many people to expect during both the main meeting and the face-to-face meetings.

Also, please follow the instructions under Lodging to book your rooms in the Lod Cook Hotel (if still available), or see our lists of other hotels.

Then what?

These pages will be updated as more information becomes available.  In particular, the Program and Calendar will be fleshed out as the various working groups get their schedules together.

The archived presentations will be hosted at Caltech as usual by the DCC team.
